To build on its strong training programme, FIPS is also developing a digital learning platforms. The aim is to build suite of learning modules that mirror the training and extension delivered in face-to-face learning described above. How the digital platform supports learning:
Combining community-based approaches with digital extension creates a powerful, scalable pathway to reach more households at lower cost. Digital content supports farmers to diversify by providing practical, easy-to-understand guidance on soil health, improved varieties, climate-smart practices, and high-value crops and livestock.
Village-Based Advisors, Youth Enterprise Facilitators, Farmer Research/Learning Network delivery teams and Farm Business Agents will be able to use the modules to reinforce their training.
Partner organisations will be supported with practical training of trainer material and lessons on how to deliver the FIPS approaches and technologies most effectively. This helps them to customize the training for their country context.
